Observant
【FH Waldorf Dictionary 9|Observant】In traditional teaching, teachers' observations are often reflected in the "eight characters" printed on the student’s academic report under the "Class Teacher's Comment" section. However, at 🌳Forest House🌳, each student and their parents receive a Year-End Report written by the main class teacher and all subject teachers when the school year ends. This report sincerely reflects our teachers' keen observation of every student they teach throughout the year.
In this report, which sometimes can be up to ten pages long, teachers in Classes 1 – 4 will write a narrative report to the parents. From Class 5 upwards they write directly to the child expressing their observations and insights from the daily teaching. This will include work and activities done in the previous school year, each student's growth, areas worthy of recognition and encouragement, and the student's performance in various learning areas. Teachers also express their hopes and blessings for the students for the coming school year. This Year-End Report is like a personal growth record for each student, allowing them to feel their teacher’s love and care while helping parents to better understand their children's personalities and growth needs.
We genuinely believe this is the kind of education that this generation truly needs.
